    There’ll be a distinct Québec flavor to the Big Tent at Esplanade Québec—the Captain’s Quarters for the TQSM in Saint-Malo. Come listen to the charming Québec accent and sample some of our joie de vivre. Tap your feet to the beat of music performed by Québec artists. Sample our local beers and delicacies. Under the tent, you’ll find a stage showcasing Québec artists every evening and a bar serving authentic Québec products—it’s enough to make you feel like you’re on the other side of the Atlantic! There’s also a beach complete with sun loungers across from the wharves, not to mention an interior courtyard patio right across from Le Jardin des douves.

    And don’t miss: Sail for Wildlife Zone, information booth, and the nautical boutique.

     

  • Jardin des douves

    Saint-Malo’s public gardens, Le Jardin des douves, will play host to 5 days of fun-filled activities for all the family:

    Accrovoile (mast-climbing)

    If you’ve always wanted to know how deckhands shimmy up ships’ masts, now’s your chance to find out! Join Captain Pic and his team and try your hand at flying a flag, furling the sails, and climbing to the top of a ship’s mast (12 metres/40 feet high). With a harness and rope for safety, are you ready to take up the challenge?

    Synthetic skating rink

    Ice hockey demos and taster sessions, challenge-based games, skating skills games, and curling. Not to mention ice skating demos and taster sessions!

    Québec food tastings

    Learn how to make traditional sugar pie and sample other North American delicacies such as Jello, donut, and cranberry juice. Make your own cranberry muffins and try maple syrup over local Malo yogurts, crackers, and candy!

    Fun competitions

    Ice skating and curling, bobsleigh (for children and adults), laser biathlon, first steps on skis, skiing, giant slalom, slalom course on snowshoes (individual, team, relay, tandem, etc.), ski cross, ski obstacle course (beach skiing/4 people), creative workshops
